| Hello everyone! I have finally completed my junior year of college with my sanity intact. This year was pretty tough, with the economic crisis filtering down into the classrooms sometimes...Some professors had slight attitudes over the economy....
No, Professors, you are not the only one affected by the economy....No, I do not think my grade should be based upon the percentage loss of your 401K....
But really, overall it has been an alright year. My grades are as follows:
- Geometry and Graphs: C+
- History: A
- Public Relations: B+
- Professional Communications: A
- Music in the U.S.: A
- Business Ethics: B+
Not what I hoped for, but I still made the Deans List, so I'm happy. I just wish the grade system of grade school was still in effect in college...when an A was 90+%, a B 80+%, and so on....How do I get a C+ with an 83%?!...ANYWAY....
I have potentially found an internship for the summer again! I have an interview with Current Events on Wednesday at 4 o'clock. Excited. It pays $400 to $600 a WEEK. That would definitely help my bank account AND give me something to do over the summer. It hasn't even been a whole week and I am already bored out of my mind.
Before I bring this to a close, I found this image that brings a light-heated approach to unemployment (click image to reach original page this was found at):

| I made this a few weeks back, but because of school, I haven't been able to post this till now. Here is my little muffin man. :) The photo isn't very clear, but I love the little guy. :) I hope to make more plushies, but school is keeping me pretty busy! Bye bye :)

| Congratulations to our new president, Barack Obama! This is a new era in our history in America, going back to one of the most important principles that our forefathers believed in: equality for all. Change is in the air, and I hope America is ready for it!
I move back into my dorm room tomorrow, and I honestly can't wait. I miss my friends and I really can't wait for class! I will miss my mom, but I think she will be fine on her own for a little while. I am still packing the car, but I am pretty much ready for tomorrow. I want to get done unpacking quick! I already have some reading I want to do, and I had my books delivered to my school.
Here is my class schedule:
- Geometry (MWF 9:00-9:50)
- History [Woman in the Ancient World] (MWF 11:00-11:50)
- Public Relations (TTH 10:50-12:05)
- Professional Communications (TTH 1:40-2:55)
- Music in the US (Sat 8:30-11:15)
- Business Ethics (Sat 12:00-2:45)
Though I don't like having Saturday classes, it's not every weekend, so that is good. The classes are interesting as well, so it isn't a total loss.
Well, I will be uploading some plushy picks from my digital camera soon, so hopefully I will soon have a plushy post for you. :)
Oh, and my pink flower painting was featured! Jeyam's Weekly Colour Feature: Pink
Bye bye

| Last night I watched Wall-E again. It is such a cute and wonderful movie, with many good messages to learn! My mom thought it was cute but kind of wierd, hehe. I she liked it though. I dont remember where I found this, but isn't it precious? Someone made this by hand! I hope my skills get up there one day! ^^
I also wanted to share some pieces I've working on to get some sewing and art practice in. So, here we go! I made this little wallet while bored on day. This was just a quick thing with some scraps of fabric I had laying around. The outside was made with a light blue fleece, while the outside was made with some silk from a top that had a lot of tears. Recycle! ^^ I used white felt for the teeth, buttons for the eyes, and velcro to help with closing. I was inspired from a lot of "monster" bags I've seen people on crafty sites make, so I decided to make my own interpretation. ^^ I made his eyes lopsided for cuteness, and the inside is supposed to look like the inside of his mouth, hehe. I plan on remaking him with better sewing and maybe some precice measuring, instead of just using my bank card as a guide. ^^
I made these two for friends that requested them. The cat is for my friend who lost her kitten recently, and the "frog" was made for my friend who is in love with frogs. ^^ I made the cat all out of felt, and the frog out of extra fleece we had after we made our ferrets a sleeping bag and tent. I know they look a little sad now, and I need a lot of practice, but I am trying, hehe. Hopefully I will make plushies like these one day! Yay for the Wii! Bye!
I also wanted to finally post my painting from my college painting class. I used oil paints, paint medium, and a 22"x28" inch canvas to create this piece. This took a while, but was well worth it. I am most proud of the flower on the left, the colors came out vibrant and the highlights and shadows look like they should. I used this piece as a reference.

| After six long years on Xanga, I decided to wipe the slate clean and begin anew. I decided my old posts so I can revamp my Xanga blog. So, here it goes! ^^
First off, I want to give a set list of resolutions I have for the year. Of course, I already posted an entry about two of my resolutions, but I have more.
Become financially fit. - I want to be ready for life after college and any financial hardships that may come my way. My main goals for the new year consist of establishing a certificate of deposit and establishing a budget plan for supporting myself and repaying student loans. I want to pay my student loans off in less than ten years while still being able to live a full life.
Become physically fit. - I want to establish healthy habits. Getting physically fit will help me feel better and improve my overall quality of life. My main goals for the year is to get in shape and develop healthy eating habits. It is also important that I manage my stress levels!
Work harder. - In High School I never had to work that hard. The first two years of college were pretty easy too. But I no longer want to just breeze by. I want to get the best knowledge I can out of my remaining years in school. Working hard in developing my career now (getting experience, etc..) will help me later on in life.
Get my drivers license and start saving for a vehicle. - I need to get a license and transportation if I am to get anywhere in life. This is a no brainer.
Break bad habits. - I have a very bad shopping addiction and problems with procrastination and patience. I will find ways during the year to help me keep track of my poor habits and find ways to break them. It is often said the first 30 days is the hardest. We shall see!
Work on developing good hobbies. - I have recently developed a love for crafting. I hope to improve my sewing skills during the year. I enjoy making small stuffed plushies and I hope to make the transition to articles of clothing soon. I also hope to work on more artwork. Practice makes perfect, so I need to get into the swing of things. I hope to continue learning the piano as well. Find ways to help others. - I feel that I am in a position to help others right now, so it is only fair to help others. This includes donating and volunteering, among other things I think those are good resolutions for the year. Hopefully they come naturally, but I am willing to put in the work! Here is a quote from a personal finance blog I follow: Frugality without hardship is a luxury of those that want to live frugally out of choice and not out of need. - Grad Money Matters I feel this is a very good point. I try to live frugally, but if I often find myself splurging. I am making it a mission to turn this around, and I hope all of you do too!
Bye everyone! Oh, and if you are wondering why things are so hard right now....
